I have had my 24 22/20ga a few years and am just now wondering if my barrels are original to the gun. It's marked savage 24 series p on reciever, but has 20" barrels and 20 ga is deffinatly a cylinder bore. I just always assumed it was a 24C series p but nowhere on the gun is it marked C. Any info about this would be great cause now I'm kinda stumped as to what it is. Edit. I just found that the bottom of 20 ga barrel is marked WK 7 and the same WK 7 is marked under the butt plate if this helps any.

I've had rimfires in B,S, and an H-DL model and they all had matching letter/# stamps on the receiver and the barrel lugs that indicated they were a factory matched pair.

The part that confuses me is the 20" barrels. From everything I've read it was only the camper series came with them and mine doesn't have the C anywhere. Just says savage24 series p.
