Guys,
Looking for a little help here, if anyone has experienced this or has any bright ideas. I have a Model 24C Camper's Companion, which as you know, has holes bored longitudinally in the back of the butt stock where you can store ammunition for the gun, specifically 10 .22LR shells and 3 20-gauge shotgun shells. I've never had any problem in the past, in the year or so that I've owned this gun, but maybe due to the recent wet weather, the wooden stock has expanded a bit. So, 2 of the shotgun shells I had back there tumbled right out, but the last one is lodged in place and won't move. Banging the butt stock as hard as I dare hasn't helped. I tried putting a piece of duct tape sticky side out on a dowel, and fishing the shell out like that. Total fail. Obviously I have to be careful, because the primer side is facing to the outside. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

I'd let it dry out, remove the shell, and open up the hole just slightly, flap wheel, or facsimile, on an extension shaft, to prevent it happening again.

I think I'd try a small dab of crazy glue on the end of a cleaning rod.

if Caz's idea doesn't work shoot a little WD40 down the hole--let it sit a while--then give it a rap
