I dropped off the parts with my Neighbor at work. He is a body man and his brother is supposedly a artist with a TIG welder. We shall see.
Meeting him again tonight to get parts. I had him TIG the original extractor as well. Maybe Ill be able to just use it and save allot of fitting. (As warned)
ONLY way I can finish this new part is to enlist help. Because of the 20ga rim cut. I can work away at the dia reductions with files but that rim cut needs more.

I picked up the parts yesterday! He did a fine job on them for me. The new part is gonna work out great should I need to continue fitting it. I say that because he was able to repair the original!!! I am exceptionally pleased with that!!! We had some friends over last night for sunsett and I was smoking some venison loins. So in my smokin duties, I sat at the deck picnic table with my glasses and small files and began filing down the bead under the head on the old part. Took me about 15-20 and the shaft was mostly round and it fit the frame and slid back and forth smoothly. Now I had to work on the thickness. I had about two hours time frame while to meat smoked to its 140 degrees. I didnt quite finish. I need to remove a few more thousandths this AM. But the part is in the gun and it closes and ejects properly! Pics when I complete the task. Later today my grind to fit recoil pad should be here and I can also put the 357/20 to bed as completed! Should be a good day here! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Cw
