I just bought a 24 S-D after a long search. Has anyone done spring replacements on the 24, and are there any gotcha steps that I should be aware of? The gun is beautiful, but want to replace the springs to set a baseline for myself. Any help or links would be appreciated.

Just the .22 ejector spring. Mine was weaker and shorter than the replacement. Even with the new spring the .22 ejector is pretty weak. Sometimes I have to push it to extract cases. Remove and thoroughly clean both ejectors. Also, the receiver gets pretty grimy. Easy on the oil when you reassemble. Ejector screws are stops. they can bind the ejectors if turned in too far. I also had problems with the 20 gauge not ejecting shells that went away after polishing the bore. All this depends on the condition of your 24.
