Sorry, new guy, rear sight question.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...I know, lots of questions, sorry 'bout that..

I've a new to me 24V series D 30/30 over 20 ga and I'm wondering...is my rear sight in a dovetail in that barrel? Is it just press fit? Can I drift it side to side to adjust for windage?

I'm debating puting a peep sight on it, I think it will work better with my old eyes. Most all my guns have a scope on them, but I really dont want to scope this due to the whole rifle/shotgun combo thing.
