I have a 24-D series P, 22LR over 20 ga. and a 24V-A, 222 over 20 ga. Back in the 60's as a kid I had a 22 over 20 that had the selector button on the frame, which eventually broke, and I traded it off, wish i kept it. Is there a reference for date of mfg. by serial number?

Quote: "As I suspected, .22lr/20ga seems to be the most common chambering based on ownership."
Yep, 24C Series P with Williams 5D peep sight.

I've got an older Stevens 22/410 that was my granddad's, I have two 22 mag / 20 ga models (one is on Gunbroker now) and I just picked up a Valmet made Savage model 2400 12 ga / .308. The sale of one of my 24's is going towards Sako mounts for the 2400

Hi I,ve got a 22lr over 16ga that has UK proofing marks for 16 and 20ga so working on this info I'd say it left the factory as a 22lr/20ga and has been bored out to 16ga at some point.

I have a 22mag/20ga and a 223/12ga. Whenever I go shoot trap with my buddies, I'll pull out the 22mag/20ga towards the end and we have an absolute ball with it!
I use my 22mag/20ga the most. Last year I harvested 12 grouse with it. I orginally wanted a 22mag/410 but the price of 410 ammo is just too high, so I'm glad I ended up with my 22mag/20ga. It is the best truck gun I have ever owned!

I have an .22 WMR / 20 bore , would love to have a .22 lr / .410 (but sadly that's a no go area over here in the Netherlands)

As a 24 novice I have my first, a 24S-D, .22/.410. I would really like .22mag/20ga. I was born in 1957 and would love to find a 24 made in 1957

Picked up a .223/12 over a year ago(heavy rifle to pack around). Then found a .22/410(side selector). Last Saturday when dropping .22/410 off to gunsmith for repair acquired a .222/20. How does that happen?

Someday, if I live long enough I will have a .30/30-20g combo, I shoot that rifle and that shotgun and the two together would fill a great big hole in my set of guns.

Well, I added my third today, 24 series P, 22Mag over 20 from Gunbroker. The butt stock has a squirrel and acorns embossed on left side as shown, if the picture is visible. It looks pretty well done and am not sure if it was OEM or after market, if anybody has seen one like this?

Definitely a previous owner's addition to the stock and not factory. Nice customization though.
