Long story short...Dad acquired a Model 24 and played with it for a while. Got me interested when I was too young to play with...but not too young to imagine!!! He went broke and sold it to a buddy. Years later, I grew up and ran into the buddy who still had the gun. Now, it's mine! But I have no idea what I have.
It is a Model 24H-DL with .22 Win Mag/20 Ga. Stamped circle indicates that it was manufactured in 1964 but it does not have a serial number that I can find. (OK, so "no idea what I have" was a little exagerated).
It's in excellent condition...almost new...but I would really like to tell MY kids that it's something special that I got from my dad, albeit indirectly.

I would say you know about 80-90% more than most of us know about ours.

You're gonna have to remember some of the times you were with him and the gun, and then you're gonna have to go make some new memories, including with the kids. The something special is that multiple generations are making memories with a great little gun, that happens to be a deluxe model.
