I'm a new member collecting 24's. I guy on another forum contacted me to buy a set of barrels for my model 24C P-series. It is .22LR over 20. He says the barrels he has are .22WMR over 20. Will this configuration fit on my baby? I would assume so, as they are both Rimfire, so the pin alignment shouldn't be an issue. Any help would be appreciated. He would be shipping them to me, so I'd like to confirm this before I dish out the cash. Thanks in advance. Al

The answer is 100% maybe. IIRC my 24 Series S barrels fit on my 24C Series P frame, but for whatever reason not the other way around. So who the heck knows.

Haha! Thanks, the guy is asking for $167.00 CAD (I'm in Canada). I'll have to give it some thought.....and on that note, if I buy them and it doesn't work, will I be able to get my money back? Is that fair value (about $175 USD) for a set of barrels with shiny bores?

barrels will interchange but it depends on the type of extractor ---- flat extractors will usually interchange (NOTICE THE WORD USUALLY) with flat but round extracors will not interchange with flat AND 20 ga round won't fit 410 round Are you confused yet???

I have two 22/410's and the barrells are so close but not close enough. Both are about the same age and when I measured., seems to be close enough to work. But they do not lock up correctly.

Well, I've decided to buy them. I have 3 Model 24's, 2X .22 over 20 and a .22 over 410. Hopefully it will fit on one of them. I'll let you guys know how it turns out. Thanks for the help.

As a couple of others have said, even barrels from the same models may not interchange. I have tried barrel swaps on identical models, and the barrel from one may fit both frames while the barrel from the other will only fit its original frame. (Usually it's just a matter of not locking up when closed.) It seems that, in some cases, even a couple of thousandths of an inch of difference in the metal may make a difference.

Howdy, Recently I purchased a set of 242 c .410 barrels for my 24 D .222 over 20 Ga. and I had to adjust the locking lug with a file to get the .410 barrels to lovk up , so yes a few 1000ths was the issue. James

Okay, I received the barrels. I tried them on both my camper models, my DL, and my S and they were sloppy on all 4 guns. They would lock, but wiggle around and you can clearly see a gap. When I tried it on the DL model, half of the 22 WMR barrel was exposed when locked up. I guess I have to try and resell them. Just wanted to post an update, beware, I had a 1 in 4 chance and it did't work on any. Anyone interested in a set of .22WMR over 20 barrels, look me up.
