A while ago, I posted about my wonky rear sight elevator. It's not sitting on top of the 22lr barrel and it's all crooked. Well the more it goes crooked, the harder it is for me to get the elevation I want. And the gun tends to shoot to the right in the first place.
So I tap the rear sight to the left, then my elevation goes down because of the curve of the barrel. Tap left again, elevation goes down..... So I'm pretty much sick of playing around with the OEM rear sight, this stinking elevator, and I have no confidence in the sight keeping zero.
So.... With that... I'm looking for experiences with aftermarket rear sights. Folding leaf, ramp sights, anything that is non peep sight. What has worked for you guys and what has not worked for you guys and should be avoided?
Obvious requirement is it has to work with the stock from barrel band sight.
So far, the best I can find are the Williams gun sight company's open sight ramps. But I bet there are those of you who have experience with other sights.

To get the best match I rely on the sight chart that is in the Brownells catalog. It explains everything you need to measure to ensure the front and rear sight are correct in their alignment.By using this chart you can choose from several different kinds of sights and be confident you'll be hitting what you aim at.

Are you opposed to a scope?

Thanks for the options guys.
i like the looks of that lyman, just like the one on my 10/22.
I don't have a brownell's catalog, but I will look for that sight alignment information on their website.
And yes, I'm not really interested in a scope. This gun is going to be for squirrel, grouse and rabbit. So I'm going to need fast target acquisition. So far the best has been the basic open sights for that application.
