I'm new to this forum and joined because i bought my 3rd 24 recently. The other two are gone but this one will stay with me. Previous versions were a 22 magnum over 410 and a22 LR over 20 gauge. I couldn't hit a thing with either of the 22's and that's why they went away. This one is a 24F with the synthetic stock. Bought it used but I'm fiarly certain it had never been shot. It weighs in at around 8 lbs and it feels heavier than that. This will be an all around varmint gun and be carried for weekend trips into the mountains of South East Arizona. I'm not much of a fan of synthetic stocks. I'm more of a wood and blue steel knd of guy though I understand others have different tastes. In general I think this synthetic stock would actually be heavier than a conventional wood stock though I can't really be sure it would.
So my question is if anyone has experience fitting the stock offered by Brownells to a 24F?

This wood stock has a convex face on the side were it fits against the receiver rear face and the 24F has a stright face in that location. I don't mind fitting wood as long as there is enough to be fitted. And that is really the questions. Is there enough wood to fit this to a 24F?
FYI - I'm no wood expert but i have 'whittled' my share of wood in the past. It takes me days to do what a professional could do hours. But it eventually gets done. This one comes fitted for a 410 Gauge shotgun barrel that would have to be fitted for the 12 gauge, so I'd be doing some 'Whittling' anyhow.
Thanks for your understanding and I hope to contribute to this forum where i can.
