Hello all and thank you for allowing me to join the forum. I just acquired a 24F late model .30-30/12. It has the drilled and tapped holes on the right hand side barrel block for the scope/pic rail. After an exhausting search, I’ve found those impossible to find. I then found an old Lyman double leaf adjustable express sight that would mount where the original mid barrel sight would, but those are unavailable as well. The gun is regulated well for windage but of course elevation is an issue. I really don’t want to modify the gun but I’m thinking about the “ace in the hole” rear peep sight and pic rail combo from Williams. This would allow me to use the peep sight for the shotgun, and I’m hoping I could look past it to use the factory mid barrel sight for the rifle. As well as have the pic rail if I so choose. I spoke with rep at Williams that said they have an ace in the hole mount that has a rounded base with a radius of 0.90”, it would still have to be bedded as the .30-30 barrel is much thinner. Does anyone have any experience with any of the above issues or products? Any information is appreciated.

I don't have any experience with those sights but still want to welcome you to the forum. Someone else may be able to shed some light. I wish I still had the 30-30/20ga I foolishly sold.
