Hi I have a Savage 24 with broke part in barrel selector. Anyone know where I could send for repair??? I'm not handy and don't want to attempt myself. Thank you all! Steve

Welcome!
Not aware of any online smith's that specialize in these guns, but they're not particularly difficult to work on. Are there no gunsmiths in your area?

Which selector? On the hammer, or the side button selector? The hammer selector is easier to work on usually. The side button selector usually needs part replacement, which requires the entire action be stripped of all parts usually.

Steve, You didn't mention where you live. A local gunsmith can probably help you out. You would probably want to see a non-chain gunsmith. A small shop or guy who works from his home.

No first hand experience with this guy, but he's in northern WI, has been to school, is certified, and seems to have a real business. Give him a call... www.gunsmithjake.com/ and feel him out. Depending on caliber, and age, there are a couple of different configurations for the side selector. Finding one might be the hardest part of the repair.

If you are going to ship it off, Laib's Gunsmithing & Custom Guns, Inc. 201 MN-23 NE, Spicer, MN 56288 ((320) 796-2686). Call him, he is the best around. Even other gunsmith's recommend him. Call him and he can tell you how to ship it, and if he can fix it for you. You would only have to send the receiver unless you want him to look the whole thing over for you. I can tell you from personal experience that he is awesome. As a side note, he is originally from Wisconsin. He doesn't have a website, but he does lots of business without one. Jake's is not in Northern WI. It is outside Wausau. Regardless of who you choose, you should call them first. Just for my own curiosity, where in the "bush" are you? I am from the Twin Cities in Minnesota.
