I recently picked up a 22/410 with the button barrel selector on the side of the receiver. The gun is in beautiful condition and the sellers father had it since new. My question is about the front sight, it is a bead. The rear sight is the typical open sight with the elevator. The gun shoots dead on, with the 410 slightly to the right. Is this how it came ?? I can't see any " marks " on the barrel to even suggest there was a ramp front sight originally .

I'm not sure that is the original configuration, but count yourself lucky that the sights are so well regulated. To my memory, the only front sight configuration I have seen is a bladed ramp with a brass faced insert for sight.
I hope you find your answer.

If you go to photos, you’ll see a lot of front sights on the various featured 24s. My 1958 model shows a ramp, but no brass bead.
