Welcome… after 10 years of complaints, we're going to try a new forum format. This one has some limitations, but I've used it a few times in the past and it seems to work well.
You WILL have to register and sign in. Up on the top right corner of any page, click the "Register" link and fill in the fields. A minor inconvenience and a one time effort. You will need to log in to post.
I have activated the Chat board, though this forum has never been very active or fast moving (which is the way we like it), so it probably won't get any use, but it is there.

Good to be onboard. Think this is going to be a lot easier to work with than the old set-up. Thanks to all those who have worked on this change!

ee here. I certainly like the old board better but I'll try to keep this upbeat and say that I hope it solves a bunch of our problems.
Can we get the old background on here to mellow out this stark white???
I do like that it has a spell checker, let's hope that it gets a bit of use!

I have to fiddle around a bit and see what I can do with the background.
I'm not going to mess with the colors, I'm colorblind so what I change it to might not be good. lol

I have used the VB type of forums for years, I still moderate a couple of slow (almost dormant!) ones. This will be fine once we get used to it. Maybe we can put a good ID subforum together.

I like the new format....but couldn't remember my user name! I think this was it.....or was it WinMike?
Anyway, nice to see you all again!
cas, is there a way to receive notification of new posts, just like the previous? Say, once a day or so?

well....I just signed up and here I am.
I would "lurk" and read the old forum a bit in the past, thought I'd sign up and partisipate a bit.
I have a old Model24 (22LR/410) that is the only non replacable gun that I own. It was grandpa's gun and the first gun I ever shot. Before he died, grandpa told grandma that I was to get the savage so I have had the gun for the past 30plus years. It has gone shooting everytime I have gone, this one never stays home.
I am on the look out for a "selector screw". This is the "right side" style. I think I have found one thanks to the pointers on the old Savage fourm.
I have been unable to figure ou the manufacture date of my 24 but will include a photo on a new topic to get your input.
I look forward to chating with you all.
