I"m considering adding one of these low cost scopes in 6X24 or 8X32 to a 222/20-gauge V combo. I've never used or looked through one before. Does anyone have any opinions or feedback on NC Star? 20 guage turkey shells can be rough on a scope, I'd like to at least believe that the scope will stand up (among other issues) to it before I drop the coin. I'd appreciate anyfeedback.

I wouldn't buy one. That's not based on having owned one, just knowing a number people who have.

I have one and I don't think I'll but another--they're OK but I think Tasco or Simmons are better

I own several Ncstar scopes and have had zero problems with them..I have them on muzzleloaders and one of their pistol scopes on my 30.06 pistol..They are very tough scopes and also very accurate..None of mine have ever fogged up..I rate them higher then the cheaper simmons or bushnell models..I think they are made in China but they do have some quality to them...

I am not gonna say that you should or should not buy an NcStar, but I am gonna say that I have two and have had no problems, they work great. I bought these two because I needed compact scopes and these were the ones I found to do the job, whereas I didn't find the compact size in a Tasco or Bushnell. NcStar offered what I was looking for, and they are working just fine, in fact great.

I havent owned a scope from NCSTAR,i have looked through them at the gun shows....didnt care for them. I do own a laser sight for a Sig 9mm pistol from them....total garbage, wont hold zero, shuts off and on. You get what you pay for. That was cheap as are there scope prices. I will never buy that brand again. Its ashame too because as EE said they do offer a compact one that i like and its cheap but i know it wont hold up on an 223 over several thousand rounds.
