I have seen this many times before. Look at the feedback for Bishop87 and you will see that he joined Gunbroker on Dec. 27 2012. Most likely it is the seller, or his buddy, using an alias to bid against the one guy who really wants this Savage, who is Maxtrash.

I still kick myself for not buying one a few years back at $225 Here's the problem with Gunbroker and others, I've seen it a couple times, but in particular watching Rolling Blocks for a few years. To break it down it it's simplest form, someone has a gun to sell and they look on Gunbroker to see what the others are going for. They think "Well mine's in better shape than his" so they list it for $50 more, never realizing that gun #1 was over priced and may have been listed to for months or years without selling. Same thing happens with the next guy…. prices all slowly go up even though they're not even selling. Some sellers are just crazy on the other hand. I was looking at a cape gun of unknown origin, age or manufacture. It may just be a wall hanger. The seller doesn't know ANYTHING about the gun, not even what calibers it is. But somehow they know it's worth $2000??

Ok... to summarize: 1 - This dosent appear to be some kinda special, rare model. 2 - The price may be one that crept up - to spite its value. 3 - There may be some price fluffing by his/her buddies. 4 - There is an army of idiots out there and their leader is the high bidder. Did I miss anything?
