Hi guys, I have an old style model 24 (22-410) with a side selector. The selector has always been difficult to move. I was told by a fellow at a gun show that it's possible to convert from a side selector to the newer "hammer selector". He said there was a conversion kit available. Can anyone confirm this and know where to procure the hammer selector conversion parts? Thanks!

The conversion is to take out the broken parts and put in a selector hammer. They can be found on Gunbroker and Ebay (as can many old style selector replacement parts)

I agree with cas. Its pretty much removing the old selector parts and then a straight swap on the hammers. The most difficult part it getting the main plunger and spring back in. I have converted a number of these (ususally back to original) and total parts will run you about $50 either way you go.
