deadeye - thanks for the update. Looking at the part I can easily understand how it could go in backward and affect how the gun would lockup, especially if you did not have a schematic to look at.

Deadeye, I fabricated a lever extension for one of my S 24s by. Flattening apiece of copper tubeing 1/4" dia. So that it slides over part #5, mixing a little JB weld to put inside the copper tube, pin it on thru the hole in part#5, let it dry, trim to a nice profile with a Dremel . Paint it black.. Good to go! Have used it for three years, no problem.
