Hi folks,
As my first post I have to say Thank You for all the valuable information on this site. I've studied it for some time, researching everything I could to help restore my gun.
I have a 24j dl that was my 8th birthday present in 1970. Did quite a bit of hunting with this gun. Both my boys used it as well as their first gun. Remember my parents taking me to the local gun shop to pick it out. It was used at the time and think they paid $30. Anyhow, the stock is short for a youth, not sure if they made them that way or if it was cut down. It's 22lr/20ga and has the black or painted receiver. After searching this site I've confirmed it was built in 1968 (V). When I received it had a williams peep sight. The receiver is drilled and tapped. Over the years it was taken off and lost. It has a high front sight and a blank in the rear sight dovetail. Not sure what peep sight that would have been and asking the forum here if someone might know a model #. Also the ejector for the 22 is missing and seems to be a hard part to locate. Have tried Numrich, ebay and GB and a lot of others, but no luck yet. I'd like to get this back together to the gun it used to be when I got it in 1970
Thank you

The sight is a Williams 5D 22/410. Also search for WGRS 22/410. Try "outbackgunparts" for your extractor.

Rimfire extractors inter-change-it doesn't need to be a 24jd model to fit--most rimfire 24's used the same extractor--lots available on ebay and numrich
