I acquired a Savage 24C some time back, cheap, because it had been abused.
The barrels had to be trimmed, recrowned, as the ends were corroded (possibly from sitting upside down in water? Wonder how that could happen). It all needed a workover.
I have taken it apart, cleaned it up, redid the trigger twice, to get it to 'good' (for a Savage 24), redid the woodwork (and shaped it a bit, the way I liked).
The important bit was I made up a fitting, so I could move, and align, the POI of the two barrels.
I have another .22lr over .410 which aligned easily with some tin shims (literally cut from a baked beans can).

This 24C shot beautifully with both barrels, but not to the same place!
I have attached pictures, however, basically, I made a block which was a snug fit to the .22 barrel, and slotted for the 20G barrel.
I drilled, and tapped, 4mm grub screws in the sides, and a 12mm grub screw at the bottom.
This permitted me to 'twist' for vertical alignment, then raise the POI of the 20G, until it overlapped the .22 (Did I mention I reamed the .22lr chamber to .22wmr, and it retained the excellent accuracy?)
i would presume something like this (and yes, it was a bit ugly, first attempt, etc, but it actually balances well, with the extra weight at the end).
Having the two barrels shoot to same POA is magic!
I fitted hi-vis sights, as I grooved the front block, and then added rear sights, which made it usable without the scope (which I have yet to refit, so I can wring more accuracy out of the .22wmr barrel).
I could not get pics to load, so I had posted some here
Being able to regulate the Savage 24 barrels, for any separated barrel Savage 24, was the objective. That was achieved, with the added bonus of better sights!

Wanting the regulate the barrels of a Savage 24 was the main bugbear people seem to list, that weren't lucky enough to either have an early model, or one which was already well regulated.
There is already information of a trigger 'fix' available on here, which is reasonably simple.
