I need one but checked Brownells and Numrich and they have nothing. This little gun comes out with my Savage 24's so I figured why not post my quest here. Thanks!

Sorry, I can't help with the sight. I was just curious, do you have a .22 and a .410 barrel or just one or the other?

.22 barrel. The old .410 ones were banned by firearms laws in the 1930's.

Actually the Firearms Act of 1934 had a provision to register short barrel shotguns and the Firearms Act of 1968 had an amnesty provision to register ones that were not registered in 34, so long as they were manufactured prior to the act of 34. The .410 models are around, just not seen very often. It would be nice to find one in good shape.

I myself have never seen one, or a full pocket rifle version either complete with stock. Dumb law killed the Marbles Game Getter too, would love to had one of those with the shoulder holster. Would be the best out of the way woods cruising gun ever!

No kidding, that would make a great set up. I think there was a fee for registering the short barrel shotguns and the fee was excessive, it is no wonder why a lot of them were not registered. If anyone who has one today can't prove it was registered they can find out by contacting ATF. Never ever do it yourself. You would need an attorney to contact them and see if that serial number was ever registered. The attorney can do it anonymously, although it prolly cost an arm and leg. If they find it was not registered, it can be done, of course there is a stiff fee. The cost in the case of the offhands is more than the value of the gun

LOL no s#@%, that was most certainly not popular considering the popularity of the guns at that time. I have a feeling that that sight was used in several different long pistols and rifles of the same period. Stevens was known for their line of sights in addition to their line of firearms. I would check the schematics of other rifled firearms produced by Stevens at the same time, I'm sure you would find a match in other models. Good luck, I hope you find what you need. I'll be happy to check around my neck of the woods and will let you know if I see what you need. Best wishes, David

Any quick site to a schematics for the Stevens 35 offhand? That in itself is hard to find too. It is an interesting hunt on what I am finding online that Stevens has made over the years.
