Has anybody had trouble with fitment of replacement parts from Numrich. Among the items I recently ordered was a new extractor lever for my 24V. Admittedly, I ordered before I realized that I had a non-series V model and the part was listed for a 24V series B. Well, it flat doesn't fit (too long and doesn't hug the breech block, preventing the barrel from closing). Before I returned it I called Numrich and they confirmed that the part for the 24V is the same as for the 24V A-D series which carry a different part #. Meaning I could return and re-order the exact part listed and would have the same problem.
I'm not sure if the parts are too generic to fit exactly, or just cheaply enough made that they need "adjustment". Has anybody run into this and is there any expectation that the parts they sell will need to be tweaked before they fit?
It's not the end of the world. Just a little disappointing.

Par for the course in my expirience, I'm not sure that I've ever got a part from them that didn't need to modify or couldn't use. I'm that guy you see at the gun shows digging through the boxes full of rusty parts, e-bay helps sometimes too. Good luck.

Yep, I always prefer good used to new repop. Learned that lesson with classic cars.
Sourcing all the small parts would have been a PITA though. As it is, I'm still combing fleabay and gunbroker for one or two little items (an extractor and forewood/spring carrier are the last things on my list at this point)

so on a related note, can someone measure the overall length of the extractor lever on their 24V, maybe pull the barrel and take a photo showing the lever installed?
Also, the one that numrich sent is bowed in the center of the arm. I get the feeling that it isn't supposed to be but before I start tweaking on it can someone confirm that for me?
Thanks

OK AS A MATTER OF FACT I WAS AT MY GUN SMITHS YESTERDAY TALKING ABOUT A 24F EXTRACTOR FROM NUMRICH AND HE POINTED OUT THAT IT WAS A "BLANK" WHICH MEANT THE EXTRACTOR PLATE WASN'T 100% COMPLETELY MACHINED--MY SMITH WOULD HAVE TO DO SOME FITTING FOR IT TO WORK

That's about what this one looks like. I can do the fitting, but as usual I don't like to work blind if I don't have to. Since I don't have a worn one to compare to I'm really hoping to get a detailed photo and answers to the dimensional questions I posted above.

Is the Series P any different? I've got mine in pieces trying to fix light strikes. I can snap a photo and take a measurement if it will help.

I'm not sure but I would bet the series P is different. The whole breech block to the model V is unique to that model.

I got firing pins for my Stevens Offhand 35, anywhere from a 80 year old pistol on up, and they all fit perfectly thankfully.

The small parts I've ordered drop right in, but the extractor has moving/sliding parts that were either originally hand fit, or had a secondary machining process that hasn't been performed on the parts I ordered.
Easy enough to take in stride really. It just caught me off guard since Numrich didn't mention anything about it in their descriptions.
