Mine is a 24D. It was a .357 Magnum over 20. A friend reamed it to Maximum, cut it to 18.5 inches and threaded it for chokes. I paid 475 for it locally in excellent condition from a private individual.

I watch sales pretty close and $1100 is believeable for me. The NIB 357 Max/20 gauge shown below sold for $1700 at auction a few months ago. Expand your searchs beyond your living room and you'll see some surprises with any gun model. SC

PLUS it has pretty nice wood for what it is.

Well, it sold @ "buy it now" price. That tells me someone wanted it badly, or the seller took it off the market.
Or.....did one o' youse buy it?

Probably had a buddy buy it, so he could get it off the auction, and make people think it sold for that outrageous price. My money is on he took it off the market. I know the market price changes somewhat with locations, but around here...there's no way!

Not surprised at all with the Buy Now! The Savage 24VS 357Max/20Ga (nickel finish) does even better than this with sales hitting $1800 with the pistol grip that came with it and $1400 or $1500 without the pistol grip.
