I live in a rural area and I've been to two small gun shows in the last month. I saw one new/no box 24V 30-30/20ga. for $750. I passed. I bought a 98% Savage 29B pump .22lr for $275. 22 ammo prices seem to be coming down from the hoarder/sellers. $15-$18 at the first show and $12 two weeks later for 100 rd. mini-mags. Not much powder here as well.

Gander Mountain had CCI Mini-mag hollowpoints for $7.99. Looks like the tide is turning back in our favor finally.

The key word there is 'had'. They didn't last long here. There are still a lot of guys buying all they can to try to resale online. For someone who just wants some to shoot, it's frustrating to not be able to find any for less than 10 cents a pop!

That is true. I think there is a box limit there still, so better or worse, they stick around longer maybe. There were sales for .22 for $2+ a box, but they were never in the stores as far as I have seen. Gone are the days for me of rocking through a 10/22 50 shot mag...

Man, ain't that the truth! Who would have thought you would have to actually think twice before shooting a brick of 22s? I will agree that they are coming back in stores and the prices are better even with the price gougers, so maybe there's hope! You can find them if you look consistently.

I'd been looking for a couple of powders recently, and found them at our Lacy, WA Cabela's. They have a 2-lb limit on powders. Oddly enough, another Cabela's in Springfield, OR had no limit, so when I asked for powder, they sort of giggled and sighed.
Apparently, even the big companies have different rules for each store. Anyway, if there's one near you, Kelly, try them.
