In a time long ago I shot a rifle with a rear sight and the sight had a V notched blade and flipped to a blade with a small hole peep sight, both blades were removable and could be replaced,I am not sure that they were adjustable for wind-age,these were not the tang mounted type, they were a very simple type, barrel mounted. It could have been on a BB,pellet or 22 rifle, as in those years lets say 1952 to 1963 that was all I shot. I have been checking the internet and so far haven't seen any like that. Anyone remember any like that?

Sounds like a number of old military sights. A South American contract rolling block I had was that way.

There is one now on eBay right now Search gun parts/rifle/ rear sight.
On a similar note, I was just looking at a 3-brl DRILLING and it had a mechanically linked blade sight which popped up when you swapped between the shotgun and rifle barrels. Amazing workmanship in the Drillings. Now if I could just rig up a sight like that when I select barrels on my M24.
