Thanks for the responses guys.
I have never heard of that parts supplier...I will try them immediately!
It's funny, I've owned these guns for years and have never had the trigger guard woes I know so many guys complain about. I guess I've just been lucky, cut one of mine I use literally ALL the time. It's got its bumps, but the original guard is still ok.
It's the purdee one that needs the correct guard.
Thanks for the heads up!

Come on guys, nobody has one of these? I've been to Numrich, Gun Parts and other. They either have a black one, or a repro like I have currently.
SOME BODY on this forum has got to have one to go.
And what of my other question...odell23 ' s book?

Hey all,
Man it has been a loooong while since I last posted. Pulling one of my 24 ' s out today reminded me that I really need to get this incorrect repro trigger guard off her. Deserves better considering the condition she's in.
Does anyone have one of these to sell me?? Want the silver guy...you know what I mean.
Please ping me at ndg6771@yahoo.com if you do.
BTW, did "odell23" ever finish his book?
Many thx,
Sentry44

Seems like I'll be selling some "evil" stuff thanks to our new nonsense gun law in NY, that will free up some cash. Maybe I'll finally pick up a Ruger Max with some of the cash. (trying to think positive even though I'm sick and disgusted by it.) I'm in NY as well, CAS. Remember, it's the 'style' of gun which dictates, and therefore reflects, what type of person you are. So for instance: Shotgun with straight grip = upstanding citizen. Shotgun with pistol grip = deranged liquor store hold-up guy. The type of grip on the gun not only indicates what type of person you are, but it may even have the ability to make a good man do bad things. Simply...by virtue...of how you grip it. It isn't entirely proven yet, but I hear Liberal scientists are working on testing the theory in one of their "re-education" testing centers. Just as an aside, and on the off chance you are ever in position to make this mistake...you must ALWAYS face Gov. Cuomo. Never turn your back on him. But do NOT make eye contact! When he has finished his soaring oratory, you simply bow your head and back away slowly. You may, under certain circumstances, offer quiet grovelling as you do so. But be quick about it, as his time is far too valuable to be wasted listening to the likes of ordinary feudal serfs. It is after all, only by his gracious charity, that he is even granting you an audience.

I hear ya. I meant just uploading them to imbed in a thread, as opposed to adding them to your broader "gun porn" gallery idea. Which I like, because it would put a visual to models many people have never seen. But I get what you're saying about the quality, etc. I just like to brag and show pics. My wife laments I have more pictures of my tractors and guns than of our child... I'm willing to admit I might have a problem.
