Have listed on Gunbroker with pictures my Bushnell 4X 22 RF scope. The integral mount will clamp on narrow 3/8 " dovetails of those older 24 s. Not intended for center fire calibers or shotgun gauges larger than 410. listing - " Bushnell scope for Savage 24 "

I believe that is the old Bushnell Custom 22 scope. Came in two versions, a fixed 4x and variable 3-8x (not a typo ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) ). ![](http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y174/jrguerra/Tools/BUSHNELLCUSTOM3X822.jpg)

yours is a newer model which is variable. Mine is fixed 4 X power. Your scope would also work. In order to make it that it can be detached and reattached returning to zero, the mount needs to be anchored to the scope. I drilled various perforations and milled out a T slot ( in both the mount and scope) and permanently epoxied the scope to mount once i figured out where where i wanted it to be. I use the rear sight as a positive stop , and the scope can be removed and reattached and it will retain its zero.

Good to know. I never thought of marrying this scope and a combination - I need to check that out. A Remington SPR-94 .22 Magnum / .410 is here and the hammerless design might work better with this scope. The rear sight blade may not have enough clearance though.

Jr no problem with clearance, these Bushnells mount quite low, and the front of scope , butts up to rear sight , that is your locator to always install in same place and retain zero see my pics on Gunbroker.
