hello all my name is ricky. i have a question about a 30-30 over 12 gauge i recently purchased. it has a synthetic stock and the owner believes its a 2002 model. i noticed upon getting home with it that the shotgun firing pin was missing. the seller made it right and we went online and bought several pins because he wasnt sure of the model. turns out its an f as far as i can tell. thats the pin that fit. the gun fired 4 shells fine after installation. my question is does this model need a spring for the pin? numrich shows two pin springs but does not state the difference. i know the older models do not have a spring. can anyone tell me if one is needed and which part number. sorry for the big request but could not find a dealer with a schematic for this model. thank you ricky

Does Savage have parts for the F guns? I thought they were the only one's they'd have anything to do with? (of course that might have changed since they stopped making them)
