Guys , any idea where I can buy the split ring type sling mounts? To fit the lower .410 barrel?
I've already got a stud fitted to the fore end , but don't like to carry the full weight of the rifle on it , as it's already once pulled the wooden section off!
Have seen the type that's made up of two halves that are held together by a single bolt , and fits around the barrel , but sadly can't find a supplier for them .
Many thanks in advance for any and all help offered .
all the best fellas .
Andy .

Andy,
Just an added tip. I would place black electrical tape inside each half of the split mount before mounting to your barrel. It tightens the grip and protects from scratching the bluing.

I tried them on a couple of Handi rifles. The ones I got were Uncle Mikes and came from either Brownells or Numrich, I forget which one. Be careful with them. They're now made in China and the metal seems softer than it was. The threads strip very easily.
They didn't work well on the tapered rifle barrel, but should be fine on a shotgun tube. Tape or friction paper works well under them.
