I have a couple of 24S-Es, but not where I can look at the moment. But I think the sight sits in a dovetail and should be gently tapped out left-to-right (or is it right-to-left? I can never remembe; others may offer advice here). Using (ideally) a brass punch, gently tap to see if it moves. If not, try tapping from the other direction. Just don't beat on it. No, do NOT try to pop it out or slide it front to rear or rear to front; that will wreck something.
If you don't have brass or aluminum to tap on the sight, at least be VERY gentle if you have to use a steel driver of some kind -- maybe the square end of a 1/4-inch socket extension? I screwdriver blade may be too narrow and sharp to avoid potential damage.
If this advice seems all wrong, please reply and I'll check an SE when I get home.

LittleGuns -
You are absolutely correct. A perpendicular dovetail. A couple of taps left to right did the trick.
You know, I never knew that I could adjust that sight for windage...
Thanks!
