1973 Savage 24 in .22LR / 20ga. 15” bbl 31” oal 6 lbs. This is an AOW under the "Marble's Game Getter" exception (single shot rifle and shotgun between 12"-16"). Since it is legal in 48 states (and Canada: permit required of course... ) & doesn't require a 5320.20, this I have declared the best travel (NFA) gun. Attachments:

Remember it’s a sin to have a .22 not be threaded (just remember to remove the can before using the 20ga). I'd love to find someone who could make a blued or ideally case colored tube for my SilencerCo Switchback. For now my old Thompson Machine doesn't look too out of place. Attachments:

Besides adding the Skinner barrel mounted peep sight, the custom leather cartridge holder is from WildWildDill.com , a small Ukrainian business that had to flee their country but, has resumed business in Prague. I’d recommend checking out; besides providing support for their circumstance, they provide excellent work at an exceptional value (this was about $50 shipped). Stock Cartridge Holder Carrier

I've never seen an AOW version of the 24 done. Appears to be a handy walkabout = vehicle tool that is easy to store. My standard 24C was occasionally shot from the driver's side window when a rabbit was cooperative.
Thanks for attaching photos of your gun. And welcome to the Savage 24 board. Its been pretty quiet and 'chill' lately so patience with our feedback is appreciated.

Well now, that is very cool. I too have not seen that modification on any model 24. It looks to be really handy in confined spaces. How does the Skinner peep work with that front sight? I checked out Wild Wild Dill and they make some good looking stuff. Thanks for the heads up on them. How long did it take to receive the cartridge holder? By the way....welcome to the forum.

The Skinner sight is really good; takes a bit of fidgeting to zero. I was trying to think of a way to modify the front. Leather took a long time because I ordered before the invasion / evacuation. Couldn't speak to what they're doing now.
