That is a popular replacement part many install on other Savage 24s as well as some other rifles and/or shotguns. I wish you good luck in finding one.

It's not an easy one to find.

You guys are correct, they seem to be scarce as hens teeth........ So I 'fixed' it I didn't notice when I acquired it that it only had the shotshell hole, no 'slot' to get to the 22LR holes in the stock...... to be completely honest, I didn't even notice that it had the cartridge trap.... Looks better from about 2'.... Anyway, NO longer needed..

There's also two types/sizes. One oval shaped, one keyhole shaped. The series P stock's are smaller than the series S guns IIRC. I bought one years ago for my 24C only to find it didn't fit. Then I found I didn't really care. lol It's around here somewhere.

Many years ago as a poor college student i made one using a regular butplate and a dremel. Used the metal cutoff blades IIRC because that is all i had. Worked fine until i had to sell the gun.
