Stumbled into a deal today. Stopped a local pawn shop, and they had a Savage 24F in 223/12 on the rack. Problem is it had a very rough life. Poor thing had the stock cut off right behind the pistol grip, and the sights were missing. Of course i am now going to give it a loving home! Anyone have a stock for the straight frame sitting around? i've got several of the scalloped models around, but none of the straight ones. Probably will paint it some of the Brownells gunhide i picked up on sale a while back.

This one could be tough. Not a model made for very long, and I don't recall ANY custom replacements stocks offered. So a factory replacement may be the only option.
Maybe a request for this stock at various gun boards may find you one. Or being take-down design, sometimes the rear action and barrels become seperated and lost and the person is stuck with just the rear. They may want to recover part of their investment.
Good luck.
