I can't get the barrel to come off the frame. It breaks fine. Closes fine. This is the first mod24 I've owned. Barrel selector is on right side. Any help would be great Cheers.

You need to remove the fore end wood. It should just snap off.

I've done that. The receiver will not break from the barrel. Anything else that'd cause it?

Try inundating the hinge with Break Free CLP or some similar product. I suspect your hinge suffers from over-enthusiastic applications of oil which have subsequently hardened and jammed the hinge.

Try inundating the hinge with Break Free CLP or some similar product. I suspect your hinge suffers from over-enthusiastic applications of oil which have subsequently hardened and jammed the hinge. I linked a video of where I'm at with this rifle to help explain. I've removed everything. The only thing left is the front pin that holds in the 410 extractor lever and the extractor lever itself. There's nothing left that could physically stop the barrel and receiver from separating. That pin must've some how slid out of the hole by just enough to catch on receiver. How could I remove the likely damaged pin? I can't see it. There's no access to it aside from the main channel on the receiver and that's very restricted. Should I somehow cut the extractor lever and the pin in half and hope to find a replacement? I dunno how I could do that a side from a slow cut with a metal file? I'm stuck without any idea of how to move forward. It can't be said enough but I really/deeply appreciate any help. Thanks

Looks like you've removed the pin, right?. Now...some gentle (or maybe escalating into vigorous) tapping with a plastic/soft hammer.

Looks like you've removed the pin, right?. Now...some gentle (or maybe escalating into vigorous) tapping with a plastic/soft hammer. Not mine obviously, but I wanted to show you more detail. The part circled in red... The pin and the extractor lever it's holding in place is the only thing left that's not removed from receiver. I don't know how/why it's stopping them from separating but it has to be the problem. Since I have no access and can't use a punch to tap it out...any suggestions on how I could? Is there a chance there's something I'm missing other than that causing the problem? All springs and pins (including hinge pin) has been removed. drive.google.com/file/d/1vcyrHancfnyrxEiS-u2hXeSN3_u4s_JD/view?usp=drivesdk
