Hey Fellas, I just bought a Savage 24 223/12 with a composite stock when I bought it, it had a rubber cushion boot over the butt stock. When I took the boot off there was no end cap and it looked like the butt had been cut off by about two inches. In the end there was only a place in the center to put a screw for an end cap. After looking online, I saw where some of them had like a slide in compartment I guess to hold extra ammunition. Now I don't know wither mine had that compartment of it had been cut off. Does anyone know enough that they could let me know anything about it. This afternoon I'll take a picture of it and add it here. With that rubber boot cushion, it fits me good so I'm ok I would just like to put an end cap on it if I could. Thanks guys.

Well Fellas, since I have made this post, I have seen a picture on the internet of my Savage 24, and it clearly shows that the butt stock on mine has been cut off by about two maybe three inches. I guess I am going to have to come up with a plan B.

Google brings up several stock and forearm sets for sale. That might be a solution. Good luck!

Well Fellas once again, I saw a picture of a 223/12 on here and after looking closer, yea, the guy that had the gun before me has cut some of the end of the butt stock off about three inches. maybe he had a reason to who knows. I saw on the interweb that there is a company that makes composite stocks I'm going to give them a call tomorrow. There full stocks are pretty expensive I don't know if it would be worth it or not. might just have to use what I have.
