Those we're made for many years, starting in steel then later some type of aluminum. About a foot or so long, they do not pattern as tight as a good full choke 410 shotgun but are very far from useful pattern. Have one in a 24 Camper that is just right for snakes. And a pair of steel ones used in a rossi overland coach gun. They were discontinued many years ago but can still be found used. Think M C Ace makes something similar now.

Kelly I've also seen the 410'ers in 20ga to 410 but not 12ga to 410. Cool find.

The Savage .410er was somewhat popular back in 60's / 70's, when .410 was not quite as expensive as it is now. When you have a need for less shot spread and less pellet damage to the target, a .410 is a good option. And it didn't require purchasing another firearm or have a barrel fit to an action.
I'm glad to hear they still show up from time to time.

People protecting their hen houses from night time predators often used a .410 due to less damage to any nearby valuable property.
I'm glad to hear they still show up from time to time. Thanks for mentioning it.
