My grandfather passed away and I am trying to find out some information on this particular gun. It says Savage Arms on it and is a 22-20 over under but it has a chrome finish and a pistol grip and only has a 20inch long barrel. I have tried to look up some info in the blue book but cannot find a pistol, rifle, or shotgun to match this gun. thank you for any help Chris

Sounds like it is a Survivor Model. They were supposedly made in only 357/20, but LR variants are known to exist. Basically it was a 24C (Camper) model that was run through the electroless nickle tank with the 357/20's i bet.
Or, someone could have had it hard chromed at some point in it's life. A LOT of things happened to the 24 series over the years, so no telling how it actually happened.

Chrome as in shiny chrome like a car bumper (wait… car bumpers haven't been chrome in forever ) or more like a satin finish? The whole gun or just the frame? Would be electroless nickel from the factory instead of hard chrome.
