Well I just bought it Friday and I was ecstatic. I traded 200 rounds of 9mm, 400 rounds 22lr, and paid $140 on top of the ammo. So in my mind i got a killer deal.
Took it to the range today and started trying some slugs at 100 yards. First one hit the ground at about 75 yards, next one hit 6ft below the gallon jug. Another one and I was right below it. I sent one more down holding the front sight all the way above the rear and BOOM! caught the side of it. I was really excited and can't wait to do some more work with the sight. But i have to ask does everyone have the low shooting shoot gin barrel issue?

Hi Mate,
My .22lr/20g shoots slugs 6" higher than the .22 at 50m, I'm surprised you did so well and could hit something at 100 yards. My .223/12g has a similar issue to yours and shoots 14" lower than the .223, but groups beautifully. Back in 2009 I shot and kept copies of a target for both guns fired at 50m. These show the points of impact for the rifle barrel and shotgun slugs. Now after I sight in a new scope or sight with the rifle barrel, I put up that old target and point at the rifle POI. Then I check my shotgun sight is adjusted for the old POI. I gave a good friend a try on the 50m indoor range standing unsupported, at a cat target, with a slug, using a laser sighted in as described. He hit it within a couple of inches of his slug aim point. Pretty good for 4 years later. I also have a small red dot on top of the scope for the shotgun. Let us know how you set up your sights, open Vs scope. Good luck and have fun.

Trust me i was the most surprised when i hit something at 100 yards :-)
I plan to go with a full buckhorn rear sight. Out should give me allot of room to work with as it is just like a peep sight but with a small gap at the top.

I recently patterned my original 22/20,at 25-30 yards. Shoots low right with Rem #8 field loads, but had enough spread to cover the paper,by my estimate,95% of pellets stayed on paper. The pattern got better with same point of aim after 5 shots, hitting almost equal spread in all quadrants I haven't tried any buck shot or slugs.
