bduff1212, I don't have a 24VS, so I'm afraid I won't be much help. I have mounted scopes on my 24V-A and 24V-B in .222/20 & .30-30/20. I'm trying to remember the base that I bought. I'm thinking Weaver 74 Top Mount Base. If you have the top rail, you'll have to remove the rail plug screws, and install the top Mount Base. Save the plug screws, in case you remove the scope and base and go back to iron sights. It's a fairly easy process... but "CAUTION", those are tiny screws, with tiny threads... so don't strip them!!! You may want to use a itsy bitsy application of blue Locktite... but, don't over do it either! Hope this helps.

Your only option, I think, is to have a competent gunsmith drill and tap your receiver for scope bases. That is, if you don't care about the harm this might do to your gun's value later if you decide to sell. SC

Sorry, bduff1212. I don't own a 24VS, and have never seen one. I do own a few 24V guns and thought, at the very least, they might have drilled and tapped some holes on top of your barrel. Like savagecombo said, if there's room behind the rear sight, you could have it done... but, it will probably de-value your gun's resale value. I probably have a nice 24V in .30-30/20ga that I'd trade you for that problem gun... and it doesn't have that problem!
