Where are you located? You might have better luck searching for one locally. I've got an extra one, but am trying to work it in on a .357 Mag/Max trade deal, with anyone. Mine is a nice one that I'd hate to sell outright.

Thanks for the tip, but I can't support the Gunbroker prices, even for an unfired Savage 24.

I am located near Orlando, FL if your trade does not work out and you want to sell.

Dommino 300,
Here's the scam that's going on there and other online gun auctions. A seller gets his friend to "shadow bid" against the truly interested, legitimate, bidder. Naturally, if the legitimate bidder drops out, it looks like the gun sold at a ridiculously high price... and he lets his buddy off the hook. Sweet scam... he may get the price of his gun ran way up. But, if he doesn't... he lets his buddy out of the trap, and pays the auction site through his buddy. Everyone is happy... and it "artificially inflates" the Savage Model 24 prices. Look at the realistic prices in some of the gun price guides, and you'll get a better idea of the "fair market prices". Oh sure, some pay those prices we see on the online auctions. Like Barnum Baily said, "There's a sucker born every minute"! I think he's the one that said it.
Big Kelly is down in your neck-O-the woods. He keeps an ear to the ground, and might be able to point out one for sale in your area. I just hate to see you have to pay two FFL fees, on top of your gun price. Big Kelly is very knowledgeable about these great little guns, and I don't believe he would steer you wrong. He's here on the forum regularly.
Help him out, Big Kelly...let's take care of one of our own. Mucho thanks.
