So, when I was a teenager(late 1980's), I kicked around the idea of fixing the old 22-410 of my Grandpa's that my dad had in the gun cabinet. I looked around a bit and discovered that the parts were unobtainium and I sort of forgot about it. This Christmas, I was at my dad's place and we got to talking about the guns and I decided to take the 22-410 and fix it even if I had to fix my lathe first. Then my brother pointed me to a few resources and I found this site. I also found that Gun Parts had the selector button available this time around. I ordered one, but they didn't have the screw that goes through the middle of it (old style.) Does anyone have specs and measurements for this screw so I can just make my own? Thread pitch and dia, shoulder length, etc? Thanks in advance for anyone who can help.

Cool site. I bought my 24 when I was around 7-9. 1957-1959? I'll ask my dad if he remembers. My selector button is missing the screw too. Also, it wont fire the 22 but will fire the 410. This was my first gun and I love to shoot it. I want to get it back to working properly. Not sure if the transfer bar isn't right or if it is something else. I will try some of the links you posted. Thanks.

Re: theundertaker, I replaced the firing pin on my little 22/410 a few months ago after using the gun for years and years as a single-shot .410 because the .22 wouldn't fire. Also replaced the spring and then decided I'm going to replace everything... including the old tenite stock. Looking forward to shotting this little thing in as-new restored condition. I brought down many a jack rabbit with it in my youth.
