OK guys, after I bagged my last Savage 24 in .22mag/20Ga., I've been lusting for a .22 Hornet/2o gauge. I guess I have the hots for one pretty bad. I know some of you have them. Tell me everything there is to know about them, please. Don't think I want one on top of a 12 gauge... too heavy. Those that own one... do you like them? What do you hunt with them? Any of you re-load the brass? What hunting niche was this .22 Hornet designed for? Can anyone refer me to any good reviews of the .22 Hornet/20 gauge Savage 24? Thanks. Maybe the fever will cool soon... so I can hold on to at least a little of my disposable cash! Thanks for your help.

Quick, Martha....where's my welder.....got another bite! Hey... bring it on... as long as the top barrel shoots .22 Hornet, and the bottom barrel shoots 20 gauge... it'll work for me!

I think I've mentioned that I own a Browning low wall, Leopold scope, in .22 Hornet. I love that rifle, and it would be the 2nd-to-last gun I'd ever sell (my vintage 22/410 would be my last).
The Hornet is a great cartridge, and as you know, refuses to die. I can shoot it all day long....literally....and not heat up the barrel. I shoot 32 to 40 gr. bullets. So your lust is worth and understandable!
The nice thing about my low wall....and a Mdl 24....is that there's no magazine to restrict cartridge length. Good luck on your hunt!
