Does anyone know if the stock and forearms on most 24's are interchangeable? I have a 24 series P in .22/410 that has plain wood. I have located a checkered stock and forearm set, but before I buy it I was wondering if anyone knows if it would fit. There doesn't seem to be much difference from model to model, except the ones that have the crescent shape where the stock meets the receiver. I know there were some 24v's that had straight edges there. Mine and the one I'm looking at both have the cresent shape.

Yeah that half moon shape is typical for a lot of 24's most of those stocks will interchange no problem the flat face style can be adapted to fit the half moon style and vice versa I've used a wood rasp and a dremel to adapt both kinds--BUT it will result in a shortened stock --at least 3/8" for both types forearms can be a little trickier--always keep the orginal forearm metal pieces with the gun --thats the rule I use--but some will interchange--it's just a matter of trial and error

Thanks bigkelly for the information. I was pretty sure, but wanted to see if anyone else had experience with this. I would think that it would be tough to get a 410 forearm to fit a 20 ga barrel, but they may all be the same size. That would be interesting to look into. Maybe some of you guys who have several 24's could experiment with that.
