Hello All,Need a question asked that might have been asked but fig'd this might be the fastest way to ask......Last night after getting back from the range with my Gran-Daughter I was cleaning up my Savage(along with her KSA Crickett & my M&P 40) when I noticed that my shotgun(20G) pin slid out towards the chamber(it went back in with no problem, when I tilted a bit it slid a bit again)........The 22 pin was fine and didn't slide out at all......Does this mean my 20G firing pin is messed up? I'm thinking yeah but had to ask.......Should I take it in to be looked at or just wait and try it out the next time I get to the range? Any info on this is helpful,Also after I take the screw out of the forearm stock do I just pull it off? Need to get the barrel off so I can do a good needed cleaning under there......Thanks All And Shoot-On!!!

My 20ga pin does the same thing (just checked) and I was just shooting with that barrel the other day with no issues. Don't know if it's normal or not but mine works fine like that. As for the forend mine is a takedown model and I don't have to take the screw out, just grab the front of forend and pull it down and off it comes.

Oh,Ok...Kool.....Thanks for the info......I was wondering if I had to take that screw out of not cause I saw another guy at a range once just put his together with it already on the barrel.......I did just check that pin again and tilted it forward but it stay'd,Maybe it was from the cleaning.....Thanks again for the info.......Mine is a Savage 24-P (Field Grade) 22WMR/20G............

Yep, it's a frequent question. No firing pin spring on the shotgun barrel.

ANYONE know where to get a replacement trigger guard online prefer it to be made of metal instead of plastic....... I believe that the trigger guard for the Savage 94 shotgun is exactly the same part, if that helps.
