Just a fun day, out bummin' around in the woods. I was actually looking for rabbits, but one can't be too choosey. This guy was so fat, that I kept wondering in the back of my mind if there were any gopher species with long fluffy tails...   |

That right there is a Grade A choice rock squirrel (spermophilus variegateus). That's also a nice stock pouch, where'd you find it?

Thanks for clearing that up for me odell. I googled it and yep, the habitat description matched exactly to where I found him.
The pouch I found on Amazon. It came with a shotgun shell holder and a rifle shell holder. I modified the rifle shell holder to fit my 22s. Among other modifications. They had some goofy way of attaching to the stock, and I tore all that off and replaced it with a simple loop system. Now a piece of cord through the loops attaches it to the stock much like lacing up a shoe.
