I have searched everywhere I can think of. But have not had any results. The gun was bought at Trivetts in Winston Salem in 62 or 63. The story I got from the party was that it was a design submitted to our armed forces to be in the survival kit in the airplanes as a Escape-survival/ or evasion gun. I have not been able to back that story up. this gun has not been used any except to test fire. I would say rated better than 95%. Two other guns in the back of the safe are a model 37a 12 guage with 36 in barrel and a marlin 1894 357 rifle both in new condition. I will continue to search for something to back up the thread of information I have. THANKS for any information that is passed on to me.!

The more I look at the pictures of the stock the more this story rings true.

I took the butt plate off and the pistol grip cap off today. No signs of refinishing under either of them. Only the same codes that are on the receiver and barrel. N B & 10. Hope this information is a clue?

I have devoted two weeks of spare time to research. Probably did fifty "google searchs. Checked out at least twenty of those pages on each search. I found about ten vague referances and the most definitive was refered to after the second World War. To quote "tenite stocked Stevens 22/410 combination gun was adopted by the USArmy Air Force as its first "survival gun" and more than 15000 were ordered. I also talked to the mans son I bought this gun from. without coaxing he recalled being present when the gun was bought at Trivettes and the story being told at that time. Not a lot of solid information but I still suspect my information to be true. Hope someone can help find more out. thanks to all of you for any information you can share.
