I purchased the original selector switch to replace the broken one and wanted to know if there is any tips/tricks/videos or material that explains how to do it.

Hello,
Holy Cow!! Over a hundred views and no one has a tip on replacing the selector switch? A very, very important question posted as it potentially affects so many of us. I have a side mount selector button which works and is nicely tight. Still, it would be nice to hear of any tips on replacing one which has worn. I understand that a worn button can either cause both barrels to discharge at the same time or one or the other barrel to become unreliable. Anyone replaced this switch? Any tips?

If you go to one of my previous posts entitled "Need help with locking bolt" there are completed detailed instructions to disassemble and reassemble a Savage 22/410 with a side selector button including tips for installing the main spring without the help of another pair of hands. Good luck and if you need any further help please advise.
