I have a 24F Predator in 22 Hornet/20 gauge with blued, not matte black steel and synthetic stocks I'd sell. What is the difference between the 24f and the 24v? What is the Predator model? Mine is just plain wood. What did I miss? The Savage 24F is a heavier gun, has an unnecessary cross-bolt safety, also comes in a 12Ga. model.

Thanks, but I'm looking for the Savage 24 V-D in .22Hornet/20Ga. I just happened upon one of these in my gfs attic. Trying to get some information on it. Stock is cracked in the usual places by everything I've read

Stock is cracked in the usual places by everything I've read I'd take one with cracks in the stock, as long as the price compensated for any discrepancies. I'd love to see some pics and more details. I realize this is an old thread, but I'm still looking for a Savage 24 .22 Hornet / 20 Gauge. Odell, of the top four you mention, I have a .357 Mag over a 20 gauge. I have since bought a Thompson Centender Contender carbine in stainless and wood,.22 Hornet 23" scoped barrel. It would be great if someone that owns a 24 in .22 Hornet / 20 gauge would give us a field report, especially a hunting field report. Has anyone had any success with "both" barrels on coyote? I know this is an old thread, but I have a 24v series D 20Gauge/22hornet. It's been a long time sense I shot it, but the Hornet was pretty devastating on wood chucks out to about two hundred yards with a scope attached. Shot a coyote at about 75 yards and dropped it in its tracks, but I never had the opportunity to shot a coyote with the 20 gauge. A guy would have to be quick on the selector switch if a coyote got in close undetected .

Also I may be willing to part with it, the stock is a little scratched up , but other than that she's in pretty good shape . Hasn't been shot in 30 years . Email dwilson.5712@yahoo.com for more info

Don't look like a 96% gun to me...and $1200! Does any of these sellers know what "factory new" case colors look like! Case colors on this gun look about 50%, at best, to me. I own eight Savage 24s... some that look just as good as this gun...and some of the highly sought out calibers...and I didn't pay half of what this seller is asking. Don't get took and pay too much for these guns, folks... then expect to upsale it to someone else at an even more inflated price! JMHO

Email dwilson.5712@yahoo.com for more info Big Kelly, this is the gun I bought. Haven't been able to shoot it yet. I dropped a scope on the rail to see what it'll do out to 100 yards, and beyond. Sure is heavy with the scope. Oddly enough, I tried my Savage 242 .410/.410 barrel set on it, and it won't come close to closing! Dunno.
